WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME
This is my....5th? Official CDS cat?? I walked outside this morning to let my chickens out and immediately heard her crying. The universe is punishing me.
My dog is, of course, already in love with the "new baby!!!" My three CDS cats I ALREADY HAVE OMG are wary but not hostile.

Tell me I cannot keep this kitten. I have a dog, three cats, and twelve chickens. I have a full house. I cannot keep this kitten...Even though she's likely a sibling to my first two kitties....and looks like my third kitty...
I estimate her to be roughly 4? Weeks old

She has been bestowed upon you. The universe trusts you. What’s one more cat, anyway?

The purrfect number of cats has always been one more than you currently have. It doesn't matter whether you have zero cats, one cat, or a house already filled with furry roommates. Cat math follows its own rules. Every cat owner eventually reaches a point where they say, "I absolutely cannot have another cat," right before a kitten appears and proves them wrong. Somehow, the available space, the budget, and the number of pets already living there all become secondary once a tiny face starts looking up at you.

That’s your cat now. Sorry. I didn’t make that decision, the CDS did.

Happy cats send out physic transmissions to other cats in the area subconsciously.
Do good with one cat, it draws in others.

Happy cat, happy life. At this point, it feels like the neighborhood cats have some kind of communication network and they're all sharing the same recommendation. One happy cat tells another, who tells another, and before long your house becomes the place to be. A warm spot to nap, a reliable meal, and humans who care go a long way in the feline world. Word clearly got around that this household is worth visiting.

You have to keep the baby-your dog is in love with her.

Keep the kitten. You are the Chosen One.

Once the dog has claimed the cat, the decision is basically out of your hands. You can make pros and cons lists, talk about how full the house already is, and remind yourself that another pet was definitely not part of the plan. None of that matters when the dog has already decided the kitten is the new baby. At that point, you're not really choosing whether to keep the cat. You're just catching up to a decision that has already been made.
